Data Deletion Instructions

Overview
Botsense Tech Private Limited ("Botsense", "we", "our", "us") respects your right to request deletion of your personal data. This page explains exactly how you can request deletion of data held by Botsense across our WhatsApp Business API platform, LeadSense CRM, AI Calling services, and related products.
What Data Can Be Deleted
You can request deletion of the following categories of data we hold about you:
- Account profile information (name, email, phone, business details)
- WhatsApp Business Account metadata (phone numbers, display names, templates)
- Message templates and conversation metadata
- Contact lists and customer phone numbers you have uploaded
- Billing and payment records (subject to legal retention requirements under Indian law)
- Usage logs and analytics data
- Support correspondence
We do not store the content of end-to-end encrypted WhatsApp messages, so there is no message body content to delete.
How to Request Deletion
Option 1: Email Request (Fastest)
Send an email to support@botsense.io with:
- Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- The email address registered on your Botsense account
- Your business name and WABA phone number (if applicable)
- Confirmation that you want your data deleted
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Option 2: In-App Request
Logged-in users can request deletion directly from their account settings page. Navigate to Account Settings → Privacy → Request Data Deletion.
Option 3: Postal Mail

What Happens After You Request Deletion
- We acknowledge receipt within 2 business days
- We verify your identity to prevent unauthorized deletion
- We delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days
- We notify our subprocessors (Route Mobile as BSP, Meta, Razorpay) to delete data they hold on your behalf where applicable
- We send you a confirmation email when deletion is complete
Data We Cannot Delete Immediately
Under Indian law, we are required to retain certain records even after a deletion request:
- Billing and tax invoices: 8 years (Income Tax Act requirement)
- Transaction records: as required by RBI and GST regulations
- Fraud prevention records: as legally mandated
These records are stored securely and used only for the specific legal purpose for which they are retained.
WhatsApp-Specific Data
When you request deletion of your WhatsApp Business Account data:
- Your WABA phone number is disconnected from Botsense
- Message templates you created are removed
- Contact lists you uploaded are permanently deleted
- Conversation metadata is purged
- Route Mobile (our BSP partner) is notified to remove their copy of routing data
End-to-end encrypted message content is not stored by Botsense and therefore does not need to be deleted on our side.
Deleting Data on Meta's Side
To also request deletion of data Meta holds about your WhatsApp Business Account, you must contact Meta directly through their WhatsApp Business Platform controls or the Meta Privacy Center at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/center/.
